Summer at the Schneewittchenhaus

Hiking, cycling, experiencing nature and greenery: In summer, the Schneewittchenhaus is a popular hiking and refreshment destination.

Enjoy the view into the green, the surprising silence only a few steps away from the Erlebnisberg Kappe. Treat yourself to a wheat beer, a coffee with waffle or a homemade lemonade. You'd rather have something hearty? Our kitchen is open all day.

A special highlight for our little guests is our petting zoo. In the midst of small fairy tale houses are not only guinea pigs, rabbits, goats and sheep, but also two Nandus. Flocke, Heidi and Co. are looking forward to your visit and lots of caresses.

Biken

The Sauerland is a paradise for bikers. Whether on a mountain bike, on a racing bike, as a family or downhill action-packed: discover suitable routes for every requirement and experience Winterberg from its most beautiful side on two wheels.

Trailpark Winterberg

The Winterberg ski carousel is covered by a 40 km long network of trails that will make every biker's heart beat faster. The Trailpark Winterberg is one of the first Trailparks in West Germany and brings the bike trend to the Hochsauerland. The many varied routes offer biking fun for everyone, no matter whether you are looking for flowing trails, demanding approaches or family-friendly routes.

The Schneewittchenhaus is located directly at the Trailpark and is the ideal place for a stopover if you want to take a breather. On our sun terrace you can enjoy food and drinks made for sportsmen and sportswomen before you plunge back into the biking adventure.

Bike Arena Sauerland

From Attendorn via Finnentrop and Meschede to Winterberg and Willingen - on the 150 varied routes of the Bike Arena Sauerland, bike fans are offered a lot of things. Whether beginners, racing cyclists, pleasure bikers, family or cross bikers, in the versatile route network of the Bike Arena everyone will find the perfect tour for their needs.

More than 50 restaurants are looking forward to your visit in the Bike Arena - including the Schneewittchenhaus. We are located directly at one of the junctions of the Bike Arena and will treat you to delicacies from our hut menu.

 

Rothaarsteig

If you are looking for beautiful nature and diverse hiking paths on which you can leave the stress of everyday life behind, then explore the Rothaarsteig with its side and theme paths.

With its 154 km length and 3931 metres in altitude, the Rothaarsteig is one of the most beautiful long-distance hiking paths in Germany - and it leads directly past the Schneewittchenhaus and the Salettl alpine pasture.

Whether archery, low ropes course, guided bike tours or team building - with Eugene Bolder and his team you will experience entertaining and exciting events. Many of them take place directly at the homebase Schneewittchenhaus. Let us advise you and tailor an experience package individually tailored to your wishes. Erlebnisberg Kappe

One mountain - countless leisure activities for young and old. Discover the Erlebnisberg Kappe and everything it has to offer: Shimmy through the climbing park, whizz down the 700 m long summer toboggan run or enjoy the view from the panorama adventure bridge with its climbing elements. For the bike lovers it goes from the cap down to the most versatile and largest bike park in Germany.

If that's too much of a thrill for you, you can visit the bobsleigh run, play minigolf or get close to heaven on the "Kiss the sky" trampoline. And if you want to take a breather in between? Right next to the climbing park you will find our Schneewittchenhaus,

Also recommended for young and old: a tour with the "Kappe Express" to the most important sights of Winterberg. The next stop of the "Kappe Express" you will find at the climbing park.

Nordicsport-Arena

The Nordic Sports Arena Winterberg also offers you sporting challenges outside the winter season. Signposted routes for trekking, blading and Nordic Walking draw sports enthusiasts out into nature even in summer. In the "Nordic Summer" you can choose between four DSV Nordic-Active-Centers and three DSV Nordic-Active-Walking-Centers and a total of 195 km of trails for different wishes and demands.

12 km of Nordic Blading trails prepare you perfectly for the coming cross-country skiing season and 14 km of Nordic Trekking trails train your fitness and keep you fit - so winter can come.

Golf

The Winterberg golf course is situated in the middle of greenery, surrounded by old trees and beautiful nature. The 9-hole courses near the Landal Green Park are not only available to members of the golf club but also to guests for a game of golf. Enjoy the nature and the silence or take part in an open golf tournament.

On the public 6-hole short course, you can gain your first golf experience even without a license, or you can simply book a trial course or training lessons with the club's golf pro. With a guest card you even get a reduction on the green fee. Carts and trolleys can be rented on site at the Golf Club Winterberg.

Camping in Winterberg

The 4-star Camping Park Hochsauerland is located directly at the ski lift carousel Winterberg. Here you camp all year round and are close to everything that is important. The city centre of Winterberg can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes and also the Bike Arena, the Trailpark and the most visited Bikepark in Germany can be reached in no time.

Located directly on the Rothaarsteig, the campsite is also a perfect starting point for hikers and bikers. It also has a large camper van site.
